2. Data Collection & Usage

Because the extension interacts with Instagram to scrape comments, it requires access to specific permissions. Here is exactly how that data is used:

• Authentication Information (Cookies): We temporarily access your active Instagram session token strictly to authenticate background API requests on your behalf. This permanently prevents you from needing to type a password.
• Website Content: The extension retrieves public comments securely from Instagram using your session.

Crucial Note: ALL data extraction and processing happens entirely locally in your browser. We do NOT collect, transmit, store, or sell any of your personal data or session tokens to any external servers or third parties whatsoever.

3. Data Storage

The extension generates a locally-hosted `.csv` file natively in your browser's temporary memory. Once the file is downloaded to your local hard drive, all memory of the extraction is instantly wiped when you close the tab. No data is stored persistently by the developer in any database.
